When the Floral Floosies arranged to meet at the Southampton Art Gallery for the "Faeries" exhibition we were full of curiosity as to what we were to see. It transpired that 3/4 rooms had been set aside to show the many paintings, on loan from another gallery I believe.

Several art forms had been used and all sorts of fairies in various settings. There were also gremlins, elves, pixies and sprites given a little prominence here and there.  There were also glass cases showing many very old books and pamphlets most of which carried the same theme of "fairies". In the last room  was a huge complex presentation which took up half the room-space.

Every conceivable image of the fairy, sprite etc etc community was represented and other scary things were included. I thought this excellent display of artwork was very cleverly done.  I feel sure this display would appeal to, not too young, children.
