We were very lucky with the weather .... in the morning, it was raining heavily and it rained most of the remains of the morning - however by the afternoon the sun shone on the 14 of us including our three newest members. It was a shame that we could not all make it because ......
…….a wonderful spread was put on by "Marigold Molly". We had salmon sandwiches, strawberry trifle and strawberries and cream – delicious! The strawberry tea was also a surprise birthday tea for Branch Manager, Juniper Berry June. She was presented with a personalised book from the girls called "Over the Hill, Bearly", which she read out to everyone. This had been bought with difficulty from America as the company do not ship outside the United States. It was therefore first sent to a friend in America who very kindly posted it on to us.
During the afternoon the rules were discussed, verified and voted on. We also made arrangements for our August events. After the conclusion of the business, Juniper Berry June was presented with a birthday cake, made and cleverly designed by Jasmine Jan.
It was a lovely end to a lovely afternoon.
