Retired and very overworked and extremely underpaid now trying to get rid of some of the work to enable more fun time and babysitting duties.

May be our eldest "Buddy" in her 80s but is game for most things.
Widowed in 2000 (after 51 years of marriage), Joan has 5 of everything! 5 daughters, 5 sons-in-law, 5 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren.
Joan likes pottering in the garden and crafts (in a very small way).

Brenda is widowed and has 3 sons, 1 daughter, 2 grandsons and 2 granddaughters.
She is interested in the spiritual side of life and believes in angels - feathers are very important to her.
Brenda is also a whiz on the PC, especially in the making of photo albums.

Georgie is widowed with two daughters, one son and ten grandchildren, all living in Southampton.
A member of the Trefoil Guild, Hampshire Rose Holder (25 years Brownie Guides) and a member of the W.I.
She is the real gardener amongst us and loves. growing flowers. Other interests are porcelain craft, reading, travelling in coaches and 'enjoying' life.

"Mimosa Maureen"
Maureen was born in Hackney - a true cockney! She moved to Southampton in 1984 and is widowed with 2 daughters and 6 grandchildren. Maureen loves to spend time with family and friends and has been a member of "Solent Lions" for 13 years.
Maureen enjoys fund-raising and social events, time in the garden and growing plants for charity.
"Polyanthus Polly"
Polly is a widow with 2 daughters, 1 son and 5 grandchildren.
Polly is a very active member of the Solent Lions Club and loves getting dressed up in sequins and spangles and going to their dinner dances.
She also loves going out and having fun with her friends in the "Branch".

Mo, as we call her because we already have a Maureen, is widowed.
Maureen has 3 children, 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
She goes to keep fit 3 times a week, enjoys gardening, reading and has been a volunteer at Winchester Hospital for the past 15 years.

Carolyne loves reading, doing crosswords and socialising. She is also a member of U3A and is studying for a degree in the Open University
