The Evergreen Circle

THE EVERGREEN CIRCLE
– so called because -
we are forever green – young minded and full of life and fun
we always wear green clothes to our events
we are a never ending circle of friends

'The Evergreen Circle' began in June 2009 and was founded by
June Adams and Janet Motherwell (J&J).

J&J are CENTRE POINTS of 'The Evergreen Circle'

J&J wanted an organisation for ladies to show that
life doesn’t begin at 40
– it begins at 50!

'The Evergreen Circle' exists for ladies over 50 to get together in their own 'BRANCH' and go out and enjoy themselves.

The first 'Branch' was

of which J&J are BRANCH MANAGERS.

Members of Branch are BUDDIES and those that assist
in the running of the Branch are BEST BUDDIES.

Ladies within the Branch take floral names, for example,
Bryony Janet and Juniper Berry June.

We wear green clothes and any colour hat or fascinator we like – and the more flowery and flamboyant the better. We have floral accessories, eg, jewellery, but any colour bag and shoes are acceptable (although matching is best!).

We are not a fund raising organisation.

At the time of writing, it is free for any group of like minded ladies to become a 'Branch' of 'The Evergreen Circle'.
If there is any cost in the future, it will be a one off minimal membership fee to cover the cost of administration, registration
and certification.
There will NOT be an annual membership fee.

So, if you would like to start a 'Branch'
within 'The Evergreen Circle',

RULES

1. Ladies must be over 50 to join.
2. There are NO MEN and NO CHILDREN in 'The Evergreen Circle' and they should not attend any Evergreen Circle event.
This allows all members of 'The Evergreen Circle' to be treated equally.
3. Green clothes must be worn to all Evergreen Circle events.
4. Hats or fascinators of any colour must be worn at all times to all Evergreen Circle events.
5. Accessories should be floral themed.
6. Groups are known as Branches.
7. Principals are known as Branch Managers.
8. Members are known as Buddies.
9.Assistants in the Branch are known as Best Buddies.
10. The Branch should have a floral name.
11. Ladies should take an individual floral name.
